I am Karen Goldberg and I created Nutrition 101 in 2004 because I knew with the right tools, knowledge and strategies, many individuals can overcome obstacles and take control of their health.
I am a graduate of Temple University and received my post-baccalaureate degree in dietetics and completed my internship at Montclair State University. My experience has come from working in conjunction with a board certified physician and metabolic specialist to provide intense nutrition counseling and therapy to patients with chronic diseases, including obesity, lipid disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, hypertension, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. I also provided nutrition consulting and evaluations for individuals considering bariatric surgery.
At Nutrition 101, I continue to provide the same services. I realize that each person is unique and each plan is customized accordingly. I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve healthy and sustained weight loss through a variety of proven weight management strategies.
In addition to completing my degree in dietetics and maintaining my RDN and CDE status, I hold a certificate in training for adult weight management and a certificate of training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management, both from the American Dietetic Association.
